Serves Makes 8 large bars

Satisfy your sweet tooth with these nutty chocolate bars that are not only healthy, but absolutely delicious. The bars are sweetened with honey and loaded with nuts, seeds and puffed brown rice.  The Natural Herbs & Spices Enrich Smoothie Booster allows for a great pairing of nutty-chocolaty flavour of the bars. FYI, these bars can be pretty addictive so don’t say we didn’t warn you.

What you will need

  • 3 cups puffed rice
  • ½ cup mixed nuts (roughly chopped)
  • ½ cup mixed seeds
  • ¼ cup mixed raisins
  • 3 sachets Natural Herbs and Spices Enrich Smoothie Booster
  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 Tbsp nut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • Pinch of Natural Herbs & Spices Sea Salt
  • 50g dark chocolate (roughly chopped)
  • Topping - 50g dark chocolate (melted)

Method

Start off by preheating the oven to 150°C and then line a medium square pan with baking paper.

Then combine all the ingredients into a large mixing bowl, mix together until evenly coated. Transfer your mixture to your prepared pan, press the mixture down firmly with the back of your spoon or your hands to tightly pack the mixture together.

Now its time to bake these delicious chocolaty nutty bars for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting and drizzling with more velvety dark chocolate.

A few tips we would like to give you. If your honey and peanut butter are not runny, warm your peanut butter and honey together to make it easier to mix into the other ingredients. If you are finding it difficult to cut your bar, because the mixture keeps breaking apart, pop the baked mixture into the fridge for 1 hour before cutting into bars.

Serve and enjoy.
